Bob then spoke with CCI's own Marilou Gervacio to get an update on the Catholic Charities lawsuit. Ken Withrow, executive director of Evangelical Child and Family Agency, added his perspective to the case since DCFS has refused to contract with his agency since it will not place children with same-sex civil union couples.
Bob then talked with Ron Prentice of ProtectMarriage.com, which is seeking legal standing to defend California's Prop 8. Voters passed the ballot issue defining marriage as between one man and one woman, but a federal judge has declared it unconstitutional. California's governor and attorney general have refused to defend the measure, leaving ProtectMarriage.com to step in.
